A tough challenge - testing the limits
Don't know how tough the shorter routes were but I wouldn't recommend a 'beginner' to do the classic.
Very good well run sportive. Thank you.
A perfect mix of gritty urban reality, stunning scenery and lung-busting climbs
Really liked the new route. A few new crazy hills thrown in for an extra challenge, and on quiet side roads I hadn’t come across before. Organisation great as ever.
Very Enjoyable and challenging
Signs coming into Rochdale that had disappeared caused a lot of confusion! Otherwise great signage!
Excellent event could not fault it.
Thoroughly enjoyed the ride!
Not as good as the last two years.
I was intrigued that the route had changed for 2025, always interesting to take on new routes, although I felt it wasn’t as good as the previous two years Manc challenge. It was a shame to miss the climb up Werneth Low Rd to the hare and hounds. I think it was a shorter route this year but a lot more climbing. Would prefer a change for 2026
Excellent organisation throughout
A brilliantly organised event, the signage was excellent ( I can get lost in a car park). The one feed stop I attended was really exceptionally well stocked with a variety of goodies. Due to injury I was only able to do the shortest ride, which still contained a few lumps, so I look forward to coming back next year for a longer ride. A massive thank you to all the volunteers that made it such a good experience
Really good event
It would be good to extend the back to base cut off. I think quite a few people who would have finished the whole route bailed early as they were worried about getting back to get there vehicles. We arrives after the cut off but were still able to get our car.
We also didn't know about certain stage cut offs. If they were in the info sent out may be make them more prominent.
Best day out
Not to be taken lightly!!!
Excellent route, and very very well organised. Extremely challenging in places
The people running the event were fun, laidback, encouraging and respectful overall made the experience much more pleasant and memorable for me.
Volunteers at aid stations were so welcoming and supportive. The beginning Marshalls were laid back as I turned up early due to work commitments and they let me start early with no fuss. They had brilliant speakers cheering you on at the finish line which really lifted spirits. Nice seating areas and great stalls at the end. Loved it!
Awesome
Great event, the last 2 stops were a little too close together, other than that, well organized & good day out
Excellent
Top event!
Finish should be open longer.
To hard in places
the first feed stop was ok
Just let down by the lunatic women on the food tent shouting at people and snatching food back because you were only allowed 1 item on the table ...
No clear signage to inform riders of this fact..
All other food stops very good...
All of the ride went smoothly and organised
Excelent day out
Great day!
Loved the event but the GPX file for the 100m route was wrong, my Garmin spent most of the day trying to reroute me. Also limiting the food at the first two feed stations was a bit annoying. Still a brilliant day though!!
Mad for it!
New route is excellent, lots of quiet lanes and cheeky bonus climbs! Organisation and feed stops as good as ever. And all to a great cause. Thank you and well done!
